This year, I visited the Yolo Amateur Radio Society (YARS) Field Day site at the Timm Ranch near Vacaville. This is a particularly beautiful place for a Field Day. The Timm Ranch preserves some of California's Sacramento Valley lowland foothills on the east side of the coastal range. Still natural, with fences few and far between. There were 4 or 5 operating positions, all with a great view.
Truly a 'radio quiet' and wonderful place to work the Airwaves!
